Stickman Odyssey by Christopher Ford
Now I didn't read that many books growing up that I have a keen memory of but I always have one of this Exact book. As you can see from the title its called Stickman Odyssey which I'm guessing is probably a stickman version of the Book the Odyssey but I don't know for sure since I never read that franchise. This serious of books was the more well known books that were created by the Author Christopher Ford. Beware this book is a bit for kids because of its art style but also kind of for slightly older people.
To simplify the story starts in a Greek mythological fantasy setting where the main characters name is Zozimos. He is the prince of Sticatha who was banished by his supposedly "evil" witch stepmother. According to what his Uncle said he said that her beauty was what drew her to him which led to her turning his sisters to witches and stabbing his father with a poisoned knife. Therefore ruling the kingdom with her "tyranny". But little did he know that all this time he was living a lie for most of his life.
This is my opinion of the book, I would say that the 2nd book is better than the first one because Its the book the tells us the answers about many of the mysteries that were hidden in the first book at the time. Just to add something up, for me my preference on something is that as long as its entertaining for me its fine, my expectations isn't to be the high quality complex stories with lots of character development but I don't want the characters to be unlikable or uninteresting. So first thing is I like how the main character shows how instead of continuing to be a puppet of his uncle, he chose to go through a different path and do what he believed was best for his kingdom and not choosing to go the same path as his father went (not to say his father was a completely terrible king). In the beginning he went from a selfish, whiny person to a brave, friendly and pacifistic king who would kill anyone who harmed his friends. He also kept his promises that to help his friends which he would later accomplish.
The one thing Ill complain about is the ending of the book as it left off on a cliffhanger which honestly made me sad especially when in the end of the second book Zozimos said something to similar to "theres always another adventure". But I think the reason why there isn't a third book because it wasn't very popular or the Author didn't have the motivation for it. This is the end of my review, If you enjoyed, well that's very nice of you I guess, honestly I actually appreciate it for whoever took their time to read this 'awesome' review. (and sorry for the run-ons)
