The False Prince Book Review I first heard about this book from my mom. It was a normal day, and I was just sitting around on the couch when my mom told me about this book. She had read this book nearly 5 years ago and had set a Google Calendar reminder to tell me about this book five years later. She was just trying to test if Google Calendar worked. But it worked! Now, I decided to read this book because of my mom's recommendation, and it was a pretty good book. False Prince is set in a fictional kingdom where the king has just died. A nobleman named Conner devises a plan to find an impersonator of the king's long-lost son and install him as a puppet prince to unify a discontented kingdom. He decides to train three candidates to impersonate the prince.  Hello Readers!      This is my review on the first book in the Hunger Games series.  I recently did a move marathon of all the Hunger Games movies with some friends of mine, but I left with a lot of questions that my friends were able to answer, but only the people that read the book. I took this as an opportunity to dig my nose into another great series!      I find that often times when there are book that are recreated into movie, people often prefer the books, which personally leads me to question, why? There might as well be a thousand reasons why the books are recommended to read first, but a few stand out to me. I find that often directors/screen writers feel as if they can make up for the lack of verbal communication because you we are now being provided with a visual element when in reality some of us can infer what is happening because we don't have that prior information. Potentially Happy Readers, ‘tis I, Jemina, and it is almost spring break. (At the time of writing this, it was not yet spring break.) Let that comfort you, as it comforts me.  So when I was first writing my Readers Autobiography I decided to talk about Amulet in the rough draft and I said that when I was a kid I thought it was boring to read, mainly because the dialogue felt like too much for me at the time but a few weeks ago I decided to reread the series and I was actually pretty engaged with it now that I could understand, I found it quite interesting and it was actually much shorter than I thought it was compared to when I was younger.  In case you haven't already read this book yet, the main character Emily Hayes is someone who has been through things as a kid what caused her change in demeanor as a kid was when her father died in a car accident which turned her from a playful child to quiet, serious mature person. 2 years after her fathers death, her mom decides for the family to move to a far away place in the countryside where her great grandfather used to live in.   Hunger Games- A Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes. I had recently watched the fourth Hunger Games movie Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes in the theater and decided to check out the book. I enjoyed the movie a lot and felt that the plot, acting, and characters were good. After finishing the movie, I was interested in checking out the book, and so I started reading. The Hunger Games Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes takes place right after the war and during the first Hunger Games. The book follows a young Cornelius Snow, who is a mentor, and the District 12 tribute, Lucy Graybird, as they try to win the first Hunger Games. This book also gives a good backdrop to the other Hunger Games books and explains a lot of stuff that was left unexplained in the other Hunger Games books      I enjoyed the book, and it was the same as the movie.  Hello Fellow Readers!     I recently have came across a book that was absolutely perfect for me. It also might have been what was suggested to me more when I went looking for new books for me to read. This review is about A Good Girls Guide to Murder  by: Holly Jackson!     This book is about a investigating into a murder that took place too long after the crime was committed, 5 years later. The main character Pippa isn't sure if they've accused the right guy so for her senior year project she does a deep dive into this case to discover clues all over the town that someone is trying to cover up, maybe even the murder. Pippa experiences being shut down by adults in her life because of believing something that seems so obvious to everyone else, but also for talking to Sal's (victim) brother. Pippa wants to know the whole story so that means talking to everyone possibly invited and asking the hard questions everyone else is too scared to ask. ...
